PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to support the ESG team by collecting, cleaning, and populating data into standardised templates while ensuring accuracy and alignment with established requirements. The individual will liaise with clients to validate data quality and completeness, playing a critical role in maintaining data integrity. This position serves as a foundational step towards a Data Analyst role within the ESG team, offering opportunities to distil insights into actionable reports and automate processes using advanced tools and scripting. It is ideal for someone eager to grow their expertise in data management and sustainability reporting.

 

OBJECTIVES (main duties and responsibilities)

  • Manually capture data submitted by clients and reconcile it with data captured on the AgrigateOne platform to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Spend time working with the Operations department to understand business processes 
  • Continuously evaluate data entry and reconciliation processes, suggesting and implementing automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Gain a strong understanding of internal and external business processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop familiarity with the AgrigateOne platform and its functionalities.
  • Work closely with growers and buyers to understand their systems and business processes, ensuring alignment with platform capabilities.
  • Translate business processes into data flows to support strategic initiatives for platform users.
  • Develop an understanding of the data acquisition process in both the front-end and back-end (ETL) of the platform.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Formal Qualifications

Preferably a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related quantitative field. 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Excellent problem solving and organisational ability
  • Advanced level of computer literacy (especially Excel)
  • Proven ability to be part of a team and collaborate across departments
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence credibly and effectively at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Proven verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Must be able to build strong internal client relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Interest in learning data query languages (SQL, Python etc)

Job Related Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in data management, reconciliation, or process improvement.
  • Exposure to working with data platforms, sustainability reporting, or business process analysis is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Internship or project experience in relevant fields (e.g., data analysis, engineering processes, or supply chain optimization) is a plus.
