OneSwitch : Client Success Support

PURPOSE

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join the OneSwitch team in South Africa. The Client Success Support: OneSwitch will be responsible for managing and optimising the entire supply chain process within the OneSwitch department.

This role will require close communication with suppliers, buyers, and logistical service providers to ensure efficient procurement, transportation, and delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market trends, risk management, and compliance, ensuring that all activities align with industry standards and customer expectations.

OBJECTIVES (main duties and responsibilities)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Logistical Coordination:
    • Collaborate with logistical service providers to ensure efficient, cost-effective transport and movement of goods.
    • Manage logistical schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.
  2. Document Set Management:
    • Oversee the management and organisation of all necessary documents related to procurement, sales, and logistics.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Monitor the condition of goods to ensure they meet the required standards for specific markets.
    • Handle quality claims and assist in determining the most financially beneficial options for clients.
    • Provide support in monitoring sensor devices and assessing their impact on product quality.
  4. Market Analysis:
    • Track and analyse market trends, prices, and demand to make data-driven decisions that enhance the value of OneSwitch.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to optimise supply chain operations.
  5. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential logistical and supply chain disruptions and work to mitigate these risks proactively.
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure smooth operations.
  6. Inventory Management:
    • Monitor stock levels and the age of inventory to ensure timely communication with participants for optimal product movement.
    • Coordinate efforts to manage inventory effectively and prevent waste or loss.
  7. Financial Reporting:
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial reporting on product-level data entries.
    • Engage with clients regularly to encourage the use of relevant financial reports.
  8. Customer Satisfaction:
    • Maintain a high level of customer service in line with AgrigateOne standards.
    • Address and resolve client inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively.
  9. Compliance:
    • Ensure all client activities adhere to industry norms and regulations.
    • Manage compliance with market-specific regulations and ensure goods are moved according to correct protocols.
  10. Supplier and Buyer Communication:
    • Coordinate all communications related to procurement, sales, and expectation management with buyers and sellers.
    • Resolve disputes and ensure that the correct demand is matched with the appropriate supply, focusing on commodity fit.
  11. Product Support and Improvement
    • Act as a liaison between clients and the product team to provide operational feedback that drives product enhancements.
    • Assist clients in optimising the use of OneSwitch features, ensuring they understand how to fully utilise product functionalities to improve their operations.
    • Contribute to product development by identifying gaps and new feature requests based on client feedback and operational needs.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Formal Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in supply chain management, logistics, or quality assurance.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Understanding of market trends and risk management strategies.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Driver’s licence (This role will include travel)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in the fresh produce industry.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, organisational ability and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven and motivated.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Proven ability to be part of a team and collaborate across departments
  • Proven verbal and written communications skills in English and Afrikaans
  • Intermediate to advanced level of data skills
  • Willingness and availability to work outside of standard office hours to meet business needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suite.

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in a logistics provider, export business, perishable commodity industry / retailer or commercial farming company in a planning, operational, logistics or solutions role.
  • Experience in managing client / supplier relationships
  • Experience in analysing operational processes and/or logistics operations
