AgrigateOne attended the recent Fruit Logistica trade show in Berlin, where they exhibited in the Start-Up Exhibition Area and were invited to speak on the Farming Forward Stage.

Andre Rademeyer, Chief Revenue Officer at AgrigateOne, described the event as a valuable experience, providing them with great insights into the fresh produce value chain. Having a stand also made it easier for people to connect with them and understand what they offer.

AgrigateOne showcased their comprehensive software designed for the global agricultural supply chain – a 'one stop shop platform' that streamlines the supply chain for suppliers, service providers, buyers, and retailers. 

"It all started in 2019 when Greg Whitaker, whose father is a farmer in South Africa, saw a critical gap in the industry. "Producers had little to no visibility into what happened to their fresh produce after it left the farm gate," explains Andre. "There was no tracking system and nothing to back them up if a claim came in. AgrigateOne's OneFlow product solves this by providing end-to-end visibility on the product's journey – from packhouse and cold storage to shipping. Any problem, delay, or inefficiencies in the process can be identified immediately."

The one stop platform covers the export and local trade workflow from start to end, multiple parties can access the platform securely and view the same pallet or container data, whether it is the grower, the shipper, or the service provider. Using the track and trace software enables retailers to also obtain visibility through the chain, allowing for better supply and demand planning.

OneQuality offers automated quality control with real-time reporting, inspections can be linked to pallets and containers to reduce the risk of future claims. "It is better to understand the process and create efficiencies while maintaining quality along the supply chain. Additionally, OneSight offers market insights as well as ESG and compliance solutions, which is critical for retailers.

OneSwitch is the trade optimization tool that allows buyers and sellers to trade directly on a trusted network, using the AgrigateOne products. "Buyers can source more product from a specific area in an arranged timeframe, OneSwitch was also designed to maximize net returns on a carton. We have seen good stats with our initial trails with a marked increase in returns."

Customers have the option to go for the whole system, with all its products, or use a few products as a standalone solution. The AgrigateOne platform can be integrated with a client's existing platforms via strategic integrations.

"We have seen how our users benefit from the use of our platform. Service providers can save 25 minutes when creating export documentation. We have seen over 8% increase in grower returns per carton using OneSwitch, and an 80% reduction in effort when redirecting stock or surplus volumes. One of the main benefits is to be able to track the produce along the way, if stock gets stuck and you know about it in real-time, you can act immediately and find a solution."
